Step 1 — Pick a faction you want to look at

You will paint these miniatures and stare at them for months. Aesthetic matters as much as strategy. If you want a playstyle steer, start with Primal Blood for aggression or Order of the Shattered Throne for control.

Step 2 — Learn the round, not the whole rulebook

You only need four ideas for your first game: echo pays for things, units alternate activations, husks and terrain shape movement, and mastery ends the game. Everything else can be looked up mid-game.

Step 3 — Build a simple first deck

Fewer moving parts beats a clever engine. Aim for a low echo curve, a couple of reliable answers, and cards you can explain out loud. You can save decks to your Seeker profile and reuse them for tournament submissions.

Step 4 — Play three games before changing anything

The first game teaches the rules, the second teaches your deck, the third teaches the matchup. Change one thing at a time after that.

Step 5 — Find people to play with
