What is Malediction?
Malediction is a dark-fantasy tabletop miniatures game with a deck-building heart. You play a Seeker leading a warband across Agnar, spending echo to deploy units, playing cards to bend the battle, and racing your rival to a mastery total.
It sits between a skirmish miniatures game and a card game: the miniatures decide where the fight happens, the deck decides how it goes.

How a game of Malediction works
Two Seekers set terrain and husks, bid for initiative, then alternate activations across a series of rounds. Echo is your resource — it pays for deployments and card effects. Mastery is your score, earned by defeating units and controlling the battlefield. The first Seeker to hit the mode's mastery total wins.
- Setup — place terrain and husks, then bid for initiative and deployment zones.
- Deploy — spend echo to bring units onto the battlefield.
- Activate — players alternate activating units, moving, attacking and playing cards.
- Refresh — draw back up, recover echo and begin the next round.
What do you need to start playing?
A warband of miniatures, a legal deck, a play surface (a 2½ ft square table is standard for Clash), terrain, husks and dice. Most players start with a single faction warband and one deck, then expand as they learn what they enjoy.
Is Malediction a competitive game?
It can be. Malediction supports casual pick-up games, campaign leagues and organised tournaments. Deviant Dice Rollers runs all three, tracking pairings, standings, mastery, rankings and season awards so your results become a record instead of a memory.
