Azeroth Fishing Derby

Grokk's pond is stocked and the lanterns are low. Five casts: wait for the splash, hook it fast, then keep your fish inside the glowing catch zone until it's landed.

Points are for today's leaderboard only. Prize Tickets are a separate wallet currency, credited only after Grokk verifies a signed-in round on the server.

1 Prize Ticket for every 2 catch points over five casts (up to 10). Hook timing and reel time are checked by the server; a round with no points earns none. Daily limits: 10 per game and 30 across the Faireground (New York day). Past the limit you can keep playing for fun.

How to fish

  1. Choose your casting spot — tap or click anywhere on the water to cast there, or use the arrow keys to move the marker and press Space. The Cast button throws to the marker. Where you cast is for show — every spot has the same odds.
  2. Hook — when the bobber splashes and shows !, tap again within about a second and a half. Too early spooks the fish.
  3. Reel — hold the button (or Space) to lift the gold catch zone, release to let it sink. Keep the fish inside it until the meter fills. Bigger fish dart faster and fight longer.

Points: junk 0–1, common 2, uncommon 3, rare 5, legendary 10. Leaving the tab pauses the reel; a hooked fish slips free after 30 seconds.

Catch journal

Guest journal — saved in this browser only. 0/12 discovered. Rarity is how often Grokk's pond yields a catch. Item names from World of Warcraft are marked “WoW”; the rest are Faireground originals.

Grokk's Faireground is a Deviant Dice Rollers fan corner, inspired by the Darkmoon Faire. It is not an official Blizzard event. Games use real DDR-hosted card scans and only facts read off those printed cards. Personal bests stay in this browser; signed-in rounds are verified by the server before they reach today's board. Points are not currency. Verified signed-in rounds can earn DDR Prize Tickets, subject to daily limits and reward pauses (free, never sold, not Tavern Coins), for the Prize Booth.
